Sports Medicine Advisory Committee

Mission Statement
The Kansas State High School Activities Association Sports Medicine Advisory Committee exists to serve the Association, its member schools, and the students participating in sports and activities sponsored by the member schools.
KSHSAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee Goals:
  1. Advise and work cooperatively with the Association's Executive Board, staff, and legal counsel in matters related to sports medicine and student-athlete safety within the member schools.
  2. Discuss and develop potential recommendations, guidelines, and policies related to medical and student-safety matters.
  3. Evaluate existing and develop new educational resources provided through the KSHSAA for the member schools.
  4. Continually evaluate current sports medicine scientific research and other information as it becomes available, and make recommendations as to how the information should be used by the KSHSAA and its membership.
  5. Assist the KSHSAA in prioritizing sports medicine issues.
