Kansas High School Track and Field,

Happy first day of competition! Today is another step in the journey to our state championships to be held at Wichita State University on May 26-27, 2023.

Our office is currently working on securing regional hosts. Once those are locked in, we’ll begin the process of placing teams to those host schools. If your school is interested in hosting a regional, our office should be notified as quickly as possible. We know this is important information many around the state are waiting for, and we are working each day to complete this process.

A few key dates to have on your calendar:

May 13, 2023: Regional entries due at 8:30 PM Central Time.
May 18-19, 2023: Regional Meets
May 26-27: State Championships

Here is the schedule for the state track and field meet.
The 2023 state championships will be conducted in traditional format over two days at Wichita State University. Our office has been engaged for several months with WSU about the planned renovation of Cessna Stadium to begin this summer. We’ll continue to communicate through school administration with any updates regarding future state championships.
